About Woodland Park, CO
Woodland Park, Colorado – “The City Above the Clouds”
Located
in Teller County, Colorado - It's not quite heaven but
at nearly 8500 feet above sea level, we're close to it! Woodland
Park is nestled amongst the pines of the Pike National Forest
and with over 300 days of sunshine, we enjoy comfortable summers
and mild winters. We’re a perfect mountain hideaway, where
you can live like you’re vacationing year round. As the
“largest” city in Teller County our population is approximately
6100. Woodland Park is also in the process of some redevelopment. Capitalizing
on its slowly planned growth, now is the most exciting time
to live here with a new hospital, new Wal Mart, new YMCA, and
the new outdoor lifestyle mall, “Woodland
Station”.
Since we are at a higher
altitude than you may be use to, please take the following
precautions:
Drink plenty of water along the course and throughout day (maybe
2-3 times more than normal) even when the temperature doesn’t
seem excessive.
Wear sunscreen, a hat or visor and sunglasses.
