The Course at Shining Mountain
What we know today as the City of Woodland
Park, the course at the Shining Mountain Golf Club and the
surrounding areas were originally inhabited by the Ute Indians. In
1887 the Midland Railway was completed and the settlers started
developing.
Our spectacular course is snuggled within
the pines of the one million acres of Pike National Forest. The Ute Indians originally
called Pike’s Peak - Shining Mountain, which overlooks our lush
and rolling greens. We have 6464 yards from the longest
tee for a par of 71. The course rating is 71.2 and has a
slope of 136 on Blue Grass. The 4 seasons here are mild
and beautiful which makes this a superb location for your golfing
pleasure.
